It is that time of year again. School started today!
And here we were waiting on the one girlie to make it out for a picture.
She arrived and we even got five out of six who had a relatively good look on their face.
Number six looks like he’s in pain.
When I take a good look at this crew, I no longer wonder why I am so tired some days. I have noticed this summer that many things have gotten bigger. The bodies, the noise, the rambunctiousness, the appetites . . . my own insanity. I think it’s safe to say I am past the toddler stage.
This picture is for me. And my love of all things schoolish.
My heart squeezes when I look at my first grader and realize his backpack is almost as big as him.
Our first high schooler! Oh help.
This one will hang out in fourth grade.
Never mind this one. He is still mine. 🙂
Mr. Cool belongs in eighth grade.
My first grader was all smiles, although he still wanted me to hang around until school actually began. I just love first graders! They are innocence and the next 12 years look bright to them.
My girlie has hit sixth grade this year!
I will let you decide if we are crying with tears of joy or sadness . . .
And a handsome young man drove this bunch to school!
Yep, I am having trust issues . . .
And then there was one left . . .
See ya, Kids! 🙂

You aren’t homeschooling? I just always made that assumption. Do they go to public school?
Kendra says
No, our kids go to our private church school. I would actually love to homeschool, but this is something we have chosen to do. Had we been homeschooling, I would have started them in August already! They needed something to occupy their active minds. 🙂
