This was the view we had on the way to our annual sale! Isn’t it beautiful?
Our church has been doing this for a long time now. It is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving – so folks know when it is coming up. This year was the 24th annual school sale!
I will just show a few pictures . . . actually, it is more than a few! I always have a problem – I take too many pictures.
Apple butter making.
You can find handmade wooden items, paintings, and various crafts – among many other items.
The pie table and baked goods are among the first to sell!
The community doesn’t come just for the pies and crafts. I think they also like to socialize with the ones they meet up with there! We sure do enjoy seeing people that we don’t meet on a regular basis.
The book corner.
Quilts hang on the walls to sell.
The kids hang out at the pop and candy table. It’s funny, but you will see them lined up and waiting for 8:00 opening time to come around…..money in their pockets.
The cheese table!
Pecan, apple, berry, and pumpkin pies!
Some brave souls get up early to prepare the homemade doughnuts!
Dallas and I quick snapped some pictures in the Rib Shack before anyone had messed it up! Looked so cozy.
At the end of the day, the church folks eat leftover soup, rolls, cornbread, pie, doughnuts, and cinnamon rolls. Then the auction begins.
The auction is a fun way to end the day – a time when we may be tired, but at least we laugh together.
Our treasures are not in earthly things, but in our Lord and the people He has put into our lives.
