The boys made a miniature homemade cider press to play with.
You never know what kids will come up with these days. However, I can’t blame the boys for this one entirely – their father put the idea into their heads, helped them come up with the plan, and even helped them revise the plan a bit when they came up against a hurdle. He is a great dad!
Mini Cider Press
I love to see kids using their minds, especially with so much technology around. And this is a struggle sometimes in our family . . . to help keep a good balance between real life, imagination, and relationships – and technology that sometimes threatens to separate us.
So this idea had my support, even if it did leave my kitchen a mess at times. And ever since Lowell gave the boys ideas, they have been putting this press together – plus using up our extra apples to make into juicy cider!
Have a wonderful autumm!
