Do you know my Jesus?
The One who was there in the beginning with God the Father.
The One who was prophesied through the Old Testament.
The One who came as a babe in a manger.
The One who healed the sick, made the lame to walk, and raised the dead to life again.
The One who willingly died on the cross so that you and I might go to heaven someday.
The One who rose from the grave – conquering sin, death, and Satan.
The One who ascended to heaven and left His Holy Spirit to guide our way.
The One who promised to come again with the great sound of the trumpet, taking His redeemed ones home with him.
He is coming again soon. Are you ready to meet Him?
John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
When we come to Christ Jesus in true repentance for our sins, asking His forgiveness, and believing on His name . . . we are saved. Salvation is a free gift, but it requires that we accept it.
Yet being a Christian doesn’t end with asking Christ to come into your heart. That is only the beginning.
Find a body of believers who believe in the inerrancy and sole sufficiency of the Bible, become baptized, and incorporate a daily devotional life full of Bible reading and prayer. You will find the Christian life far richer than you ever dreamed possible! It won’t be full of material blessings like some folks quote these days, but it will be full of Christ’s love, grace, and redemption.
“For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.” 2 Chronicles 30:9b
“Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14
“I love those who love Me, and those who seek me diligently will find Me.” Proverbs 8:17
