I used to only listen with half an ear when I’d hear people say this concerning their family: “Oh, but the next stage is so much fun!”
They are right. The next stage is fun!
We live 2,000 miles from either side of our family, so in a sense, it has made us stronger as a family. In fact, sometimes it feels like we now have our own little club. With Lowell being chairman and me his awesome sidekick!
Our little Graber club recently did a skit for our church campout in June titled “Family Values”. It is the radio drama show from Adventures in Odyssey and I will tell you this: we loved it! Whether or not anybody else got anything out of it is another story, but our little family immensely enjoyed laughing together.
And here is our little club on our Family Night in the Park. It started with skateboards and softball – then a game where the kids and I all ganged up on Lowell in a game of basketball. He won.
But he’d better look out next time!
The we ended up with a delicious pizza in town where we managed to spill only one glass of water. So maybe we are getting somewhere after all . . . .
