Today is a very special day.
Christmas vacation begins at noon today!!!
Let me add one more exclamation point there. !
We LOVE Christmas vacation. We love the time away from homework, school . . . and more homework. We love having the time for sledding, slumber parties, popcorn and The Farming Game, late-night movies, making Christmas candy, and playing in the snow. Snow – which we don’t have yet!
This vacation we are going to continue working on our Winter Pallet Igloo. If it works, and IF we get snow, we will show you some pictures. It’s a great idea I found on Pinterest . . . but we’ll tell you about it later.
I decided that since December is such a stressful month for mail-carriers and their wives, and since Christmas vacation looks like so much fun . . . I’m taking a break from blogging. Yes, I love this little blog, but I also love Christmas vacation – and currently, Christmas wins the hand. The only way I’ve managed to blog the last few weeks is by writing way ahead and scheduling them to be automatically published and posted to social media – great feature of WordPress for you bloggers out there who, like me, didn’t have a clue about it until recently!
I want to spend time with all my Littles – and Bigs – eat lots of chocolate candy and peanut butter balls, play games, watch the snow fall softly outside my window, and yell as loud as I wish as I slide down the mountain!
So we are saying Merry Christmas, Happy New Year . . .
and Good-bye for a couple weeks.
But before we leave, here is a sneak-peak preview of what is hopefully coming in 2015:
- “This Little Church Went to Market: The Church in the Age of Entertainment” book study – a weekly chapter review
- Contributors will be needed for an ebook I hope to write and compile regarding early miscarriage
- Snowmobiling pictures from the top of our world out here (not my own – but from someone who is graciously lending us his pictures)
- The grandmas will be here in all their wisdom
- And cross your fingers, but I’m hoping to get Lowell to write a little (okay, he will talk and I’ll type as fast as I can – that should work)
. . . and much more
As it was in 2014, may this be the song of my heart in 2015 . . .
Amazing Grace,
how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost
but now I’m found.
Was blind
but now I see.
Amen.
