A few years ago, I posted that I was going home. Home to be with my mother as she had surgery for cancer.
Now it is time that I go home again.
Only this time it is my father that will be undergoing surgery. He found out during a heart catheterization last Friday that he has 90% blockage and needs open heart surgery as soon as possible. This surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. Thankfully, God has graciously spared him from having a massive heart attack due to this blockage!
God only knows how many people need this man.
So this blog will be put on hold for a bit as I head back east to be with my parents during this time. This is where the miles seem even farther apart and the distance longer.
I know there are so many who are already sick among us and needing prayer, but if you care to add one more to your prayer list – we would greatly appreciate it!
I love my father and he is one of those men in my life who hold my highest esteem, respect, and trust.
Granted, he will probably be a little ornery after surgery, but between Mom and us kids – we should be able to make him behave. 🙂
