My daughter, Megan, has been trying her hand at writing off and on this summer. This is something I would like to cultivate if she is showing an interest in it. So while I am busy playing in my garden this summer, Megan might help me out a bit by informing you all what our weekly activities consist of! ~ Kendra
A Paw To Claw Fight ~ by Megan
What I called a “paw to claw fight” is when our dog bothers the rooster. First our dog, Blondie, chases the rooster. Then the rooster turns around and goes for Blondie. Next Blondie runs away from the rooster, then circles partway around it. Then she goes for the rooster and the rooster goes for her – and the process goes on till Blondie gives up. Sometimes she starts another round of the fight, and sometimes she is just done.
This Week ~ by Megan
This week was interesting for us. On Monday night we had a storm with a beautiful sunset, lightning, rain, and thunder. It was wonderful! On Tuesday, it was sunny and my brothers went swimming. On Wednesday, my brothers went swimming again because it was hot.
Also on what I think was Tuesday night, we went to Ross Creek Cedars – a place with tall, fat cedar trees. Some were hollow, and some of the hollow ones had fallen down. There was one my brothers could go all the way through. We also went to a campground close to it and some of us swam, and then later ate supper. As you can see, it was quite an interesting week!

Good job Megan, so nice of you to share your week. The cedar trees sound very intersting, maybe one day my family and I will be able to see them. 🙂
