The longer I am alive . . . the more crazy people that fill our lives. Crazy in a fun way!
Sunday afternoon we did a spur-of-the-moment picnic on the porch and then spent the rest of the afternoon going Jeeping in the mountains. And before we get too far in this post, please remember that the bright orange Jeep is a right-handed Jeep – I am NOT driving it. I’m not that crazy!
Why can I hear Lowell laughing in my head as I type this? I will deal with him later . . .
Some of you will know Joe and Monica Gish and their sweet family. Although one of the kids in this picture is ours! The kids all had fun trying out the back seats of the different Jeeps.
Kennon Gish didn’t know he had agreed to babysit a passel of Graber’s and Gish’s!
Um. Yeah.
Does anybody notice the cool sunglasses here?
Thank you.
We first took the road up to Roman Nose Lake. If you wish to see pictures of this lake, you can click here. We have been there multiple times and it is beautiful. But today was a day for Jeeping, not looking at scenery . . .
These two absolutely loved hanging out back here!
Here is where it gets interesting. Joe and his mudhole!
Got stuck, so Kennon pulled him out.
Like all big boys, he had to try it again.
Stand aside, men.
Let a woman show you how it’s really done.
🙂 🙂 🙂
I know you guys will appreciate the Jeep pictures, but I LOVE this. She is awesome!
Most of these pictures will be pretty self-explanatory – if you are a guy. If you are a woman, you might shake your head a few times . . .
I would run, too. That passel of kids might be taking over your Jeep.
This was a deja vu moment.
Hadn’t I been driven into water somewhere before? And we got stuck? As in, really, really stuck in a flowing river?
Never mind. I am trying to forget that moment.
“Dad, I don’t think your toy is big enough for that.”
“Son, let me show you how it’s done.”
We had such a blast that I’m sure we won’t forget that afternoon in quite a while.
Kennon, they finally took over your Jeep.
You would never have guessed that this day was our 17th wedding anniversary, would you?
Some of us would follow our men across oceans, through deserts, to coffee shops . . . *oops, how did that get in there* . . . and down rocky mountain trails.
Thankfully, this day did not end by following them over a cliff. Instead, it ended with some great pizza, lots of dust covering our bodies, an awesome-tasting Coke, and much laughter!
Friends are good for the soul.

Oh, Beautiful Idaho- how I miss you + my people! ♡ Eric & Julie Peters (Springs of Hope Ranch) are my brother & sis-in-law. Also, I went to school with Bruce Hartman (& sisters) and we consider he & Shilah our friends. Fun to see Joe & Monica on your blog, too. ☺ Love the fact that the people of God are connected every which way.

What a small world!! I agree it is fun to see so many connections – especially as I get older and meet more new people. Maybe you should come see all these people? 😉

Believe me, I’d stick my family in the vehicle & head northwest tonight if it were possible! We were there in June/July… soaked it all in. For now I’ll just have to be content “experiencing” Idaho via your blog & social media photos. 😏

Well I’m glad you got to see it in the beautiful – but dry – summertime!! We are still waiting for a big snow to arrive…
