*Monday was a busy day with lots of activity, and the day I probably took the most pictures. So I will have to leave Monday evening pictures to join Tuesday in the next post. *
Monday Morning
Some folks know how to start a day out right!
The project for Monday was to put up a swing/slide set in Dad’s backyard. They used to have one that got rather worn out through eight children. So we had plans to build Dad’s a new one with a swing set, slide, glider, sandbox, and playfort on it!
I think he looks like his daddy! In a redhead sort of way . . .
Cousins everywhere! I don’t think he wanted his picture taken. 🙂
Helping Daddy!
This one was busy at his little play store inside Grandma’s sunroom. His older sister and cousin somehow conned him into helping them with their shopping venture!
Quote From the Road:
Terrel was pestering his older brother, Derek, incessantly on the way home from Indiana to Idaho. Twice his size, Derek said in exasperation: “The only thing keeping me from completely destroying you, Terrel, is that I’m a Christian!”
Grandpa was popular the minute he sat on the tractor!
Babies and Cheetos. Yum.
Looks like he’s worn out from swinging a hammer all day!
Sweet cousins!!
If Grandpa thought he was popular with the little garden tractor, he became every grandkid’s hero right here.
Man, the thing IS huge!
Monday Afternoon
The swing set is coming along nicely.
I mostly watched the goings-on, fed little people, visited with the ladies, and ran after all the swimming trunks for the next picture.
Aunt Danae was a great sport and provided a water slide for the kiddos. I’m not sure where the kids all were when I took this picture – maybe they were all tuckered out and only Wyatt left sliding . . .
The swing set pretty much finished!
The kids loved it!
Some adults even loved it!
Not so sure the dog loved it, though.
The supervising crew. Right before they get their reward . . .
A five-gallon bucket of water!

I’m glad you got a picture of Lowell with the water dumped on him. He was the perfect person to do it too. Just saying……

Was reminded of a story Emma told about her children one time….Ernest thought she was kind of rough with them. One day she had to leave and so she left Ernest in charge of the children. When she came home here she found the children all sitting quietly in the living room with dad reading. Dad had a switch lying beside his chair. One can only guess what it was used for or would have been! Emma thought it was funny and I do, too. 🙂
