Big sigh.
We are moved and I’m still alive and kicking! A huge thank you to every single lady who gave us food, helped clean out my freezers (yep, that’s you, Donna), cleaned my other house, unpacked my kitchen while not chiding me about all the chocolate you found, and all you other ladies who did things my brain can’t remember at the moment.
In May, it would have been eight years since we moved into our little house on the mountain. Eight years is a long time to accumulate stuff. And all that stuff had to be sorted through, thrown away, given away, or packed up.
I’m tired.
I don’t want to do that again for quite a while, if given the choice. Any lady who moves more than once in eight years has my ultimate admiration. You know who you are, and you are my hero right now!
We broke in the kitchen by making cinnamon rolls today. They’re still waiting for their fattening frosting with all that gooey cream cheese. Oh yum.
I don’t have many pictures yet of the inside of the house, but here is a quick pic of the kitchen. It still needs curtains and a rug, but that will come in time. It holds a candle (thank you, Glendora!), chocolate kisses, and a few teacups. I’m happy.
My curtains for the bedroom should be coming today. Olive green! I’m not sure I’ll like olive green, but the room has chocolate brown carpet and paint, so it needs a lighter contrasting color. Love Amazon! I can always send it back if I don’t like it.
Can you tell I’m in a hurry? Mr. Fat Squishy is finally sleeping for longer than 20 minutes and I’m typing about as fast as I can. He’s trying to bust through his first tooth and is a sad baby at the moment.
Here is Wyatt enjoying the “new” toys we found while moving! He wasn’t feeling photogenic. I had to snap it while he wasn’t looking.
Now that we are moved, I’m going to try posting a little more often. However, after our two “big announcements” post, some changes have occurred. We received some web consultation and were advised to keep our little home business open. So it looks like we’re hiring a couple young men to run the shipping department. 🙂 My boys.
One more thing before I close this scattered post.
Have you ever tried Nutella? It is delectable. Almost beats Pioneer Woman’s Pots de Creme. Almost. It’s a smooth and creamy hazelnut spread mixed with chocolate. I didn’t know if I’d like hazelnut anything, but this is really good.
Right off the spoon lickin’ good. Don’t ask me to tell you how much of my jar is already gone. That’s classified information.
Let me know if you try it! Gotta close this down before Fat Squishy starts to yell.

“Normal” is just a setting on your dryer… 🙂

Ask Rosetta Otto she is trying to find normal in a whole new way.
Living in the Shoe says
I’m sure she is!
Donna Mast says
Your kitchen is looking great!! Happy for you!
Living in the Shoe says
Thanks, Donna, for all your help! My freezers truly haven’t looked that good in years.

Stoney Ridge Candles make any house smell like home. 🙂 I burned them here at our new place after we moved, to take away the “musty old house” smell. Best.candles.ever.

I have the cinnamon one. And love it! Is it a company that makes them? I got mine from a friend back east.
Darlene says
Sorry to burst your bubble but in my little humble opinion, Nutella doesn’t even come close to competing with Pioneer Woman’s Pots de Creme!
Living in the Shoe says
Not a Nutella lover, huh? 😉 I’ll need to have you over and serve you that nutella cake in a mug. The nutella wasn’t real strong, but it was good!

Good to hear you’ve survived the Big Move……..
If you had a lot of stuff to sort thru, how much more would Lowell’s parents have-
they haven’t moved since he was two years old!
Living in the Shoe says
Well, you are more organized than me, Mom. So it’d probably go smoother than you think! However, we love going back to Grandpa’s so I vote you stay put for a long time. 🙂

We love Nutella. Just had some for breakfast spread on croissants. Never had Pioneer Woman’s Pots de Creme…
