“From the moment God breathed life into your baby, He also gave you the right to mourn the death of that same baby.”
There was no heartbeat. No flicker on the screen. How is a woman supposed to deal with the death of her baby that only weighed an ounce or less? Nothing prepares us for death in the early weeks of life within the womb.
Is there a way to make it through the heartbreak that losing a tiny being can invoke?
Silent Grief is my experience at dealing with four miscarriages and the truths that gave me the freedom to grieve my precious babies. You will also find practical advice in threatening miscarriages, and the story of faith in the God who walked through it with me.
It also includes real-life accounts from other women who contributed their stories of early miscarriages, as well as a section of helpful tips for those looking on.
I want to first issue a huge “thank you” to the wonderful ladies who took the time to send me their stories of surviving early miscarriage. I couldn’t stem the tears that flowed as I typed up not only my own experience, but the accounts of these ladies who lost precious babies. Their stories will touch your hearts as well.
It was a time of closure for me to write this. Not only did it help me lay my sweet babies to rest, but it also strengthened my faith in this magnificent God we serve. He has been beside me every single step of the way . . . and no one deserves more praise than Him.

I’m so glad you entered for her! I was going to put in that ladies can enter for someone else – and then forgot. 🙂 Thanks for the reminder and I hope she is doing okay. Having you there for her helps, I’m sure!

Will/is this available hard copy? Who I am interested in giving this book to has no electronics or electricity.
Kendra says
Someone else just asked me that question too! I wasn’t sure how much interest there would be in a print edition, but I might contact Carlisle Printing to see if they could take over the project for me. If it becomes available in hard copy, I will put it on the blog or facebook – so you can watch there for an update. Thank you!

I have never been pregnant. But I spent years hoping!! infertility and miscarriage, are both a deep grief. Some women ‘seem’ to walk away unscathed. But I cried buckets of tears!!!
Jesus cares.

You ladies who suffer infertility have a very special place in my heart. I am so sorry you’ve had to deal with it!! Yet I know the same God who is faithful during miscarriage is faithful during infertility. So glad we have Him!

Kendra, I can see you will fill a need in writing this, It’s a dark valley I’ve never experienced, and I could probably gain a lot by relating with those who have. May you be blessed for the tears and toil in telling your story. I’m going on my ‘Kindle’ and read! Love you much!

Oh thank you, Sarah! That means so very much. You know what it’s like to fill needs in many other ways!

I experienced 4 miscarriages (the first being a set of twins). It was a dark time but God was faithful and it was also a time of growing close to God and each other(as husband & wife). I would enjoy reading your testimony. We were later blessed with a set of twins followed by two more children! God is good!
Kendra says
Bless your heart, what a testimony! I think it’s pretty special you had a second set of twins. They must run in your family somewhere!

Kristina, I sent you a PDF copy of this ebook. The first time I sent it to your email, it told me there was a failure in your receiving it. So I tried sending it again. Since you are one of the contributors, I am giving you a copy! Let me know if you can’t find the email and maybe we can send it to a different email.
Dannielle says
Looking forward to this book. Our “Angel” baby would be turning 1 yr old, next week. When we were going through our miscarriage, it was your blog that I searched, for you miscarriage articles. They were so helpful! Thanks for all your work on this project!
Kendra says
Then my mission has been accomplished if I have helped even one! I will be praying for you next week as I know it will be hard. Yet I’ve found God gives so much grace in the exact moment of need – not before and never late – just right in the moment. He will be there for you!
lmy says
Don’t know you at all… but sit here crying as I read. This is the first I’ve been on your blog. We had a miscarriage a few months ago. I still feel so messed up half the time. I don’t get it–weird emotions, unknowns, sadness and hurt, broken dream, hope… it’s a tangle. Would love to read this book.
Kendra says
I’m incredibly sorry for your loss and can relate to all of those emotions! One of the things that helped me the most was accepting that it was okay to feel all those emotions. There is nothing wrong if you cry all night and all day – it’s simply a part of grieving. It also helped me to view my child through God’s eyes as a soul that had worth beyond measure – even though I never met him/her.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 God had a bigger purpose than any I could imagine . . . and I had to choose to trust Him in it. I know how incredibly difficult trust can be at a time when your heart is shattering in pieces – but remember God is faithful in the good times and the bad.
And you will get through this . . . just keep trusting Him and take the time to mourn your incredibly precious baby. That sweet one deserved it!
I will be praying for you – truly.
God bless.
~ Kendra
