Sledding is a favorite wintertime activity here in North Idaho!
We usually begin by pulling a sled behind the Jeep to help make the road smoother and slicker. Sometimes, this can take 5-6 treks up and down the mountain road before the sleds begin to really fly.
It helps to pack the sled as full of ornery kids as possible!
Daddy and the little guys piled into a sled and began their interesting trek downhill. I, on the other hand, tried to turn the Jeep around without careening down over the side of the mountain.
I lived.
Time to let ‘er fly, boys!
Sometimes the landing takes a bit of practice.
This was such a fun day!
It can wear a person out . . . so you might need to take a break in the snow.
Daddy’s little Jeep driver.
And . . . some of us didn’t do much productive besides yell really loud.
It’s beautiful.
I love Idaho and can’t quite imagine living anywhere else!

Our children wished we would have had snow on Christmas but instead we had 70 degrees.

I don’t blame your kids! Our family in Indiana had 51 degrees on Christmas Day!

You do live in a beautiful area. Your sledding looks cold and fun.
Then there are your Christmas pictures showing the boys bare foot.lol.
So glad you got to have a lot of fun.The memories will be with them forever.

You said “I love Idaho and can’t quite imagine living anywhere else!” … and I 100% agree! What fun there is to be had in all of the seasons, but I am a little partial to winter! Enjoyed your sledding pictures, such fun! 🙂
