I made this meal with the idea of Sunday company. However, we have another sick child and so Daddy and two of the kids went to church while the rest of us stayed home.
So come with us as we get Sunday dinner together before the troops get home from church. You can click on the title of each dish and it will take you to that recipe.
One of our favorite salads is Napa Cabbage Salad. It’s made with cabbage, ramen noodles, and cashews, then topped with a special dressing.
For main dish, we are serving Lasagna. This calls for sausage or beef, but we use elk hamburger since that is a mainstay of north Idaho diets!
And Sunday dinner is made more special with frozen sweet corn from our own garden and homemade applesauce.
But the crowning touch is our Chocolate Chiffon Pie. Since I didn’t have any Hershey’s bars to grate for the top, I had to improvise by chopping up semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Looks so yummy! Notice I overdid it on the chocolate chunks……I love chocolate.
Finally, a Sunday dinner like this would not be complete without sweet iced tea.
God has definitely given me so many blessings!
