Our mother and daughter tea was so much fun!
Since Megan and I are completely surrounded by so much masculinity 24/7, we decided to do our very best in reclaiming some femininity in this household. At least for one day!
Surprisingly, “the guys” thought it was all pretty and didn’t spoil our fun in any way!
This post will be mostly pictures, with all the recipes to follow later on.
We served ten guests altogether, so it was a tight squeeze around our table.
Mini Banana Muffins
Herbed Cucumber Bites
These were delicious and refreshing!
Lemon Tea Cakes
I got this idea off of Pinterest and it turned out fun and beautiful! This was our centerpiece, but was also part of the luncheon.
As part of the decorations, we put Hershey kisses into glass teacups with silver beads strung around. The Strawberry Jello Cups were a favorite with my own children!
These Tea Room Scones are from way back before our children were born. I used to work at a Tea Room and this is their recipe. They are now out of business, so I can share it with you!
I found these square glass bowls at the thrift store and we filled them with beautiful, fresh flowers!
We served hot English Breakfast Tea.
My sweet daughter and I!
I made these white aprons out of an old white bedspread that I found in the closet.
These Chicken Salad Sandwiches are another recipe from the Tea Room and I personally think they are some of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve ever found.
Blueberry Cream Cheese Sandwiches
Megan got to help serve the milk and sugar for their hot English Breakfast Tea. She was having fun!
Finally, a tea party is much more fun with lots of guests!

Looks so sweet! What a fun day (a lot of preparation by you!)… can’t wait for my little girl to start wanting tea parties. Until then, it’s all about boy stuff.
