There comes a day . . .
for every little baby boy to begin this growing up he has to do.
There comes a day . . . when every mama must start to cut those apron strings.
In sending her baby boy down the path to becoming a young man.
Sometimes there are tears . . . on both sides.
He’s truly not as traumatized as he looks — it’s just that this requires sitting still with a funny buzzing thing going around your head!
It changed his appearance so much . . . from baby – to boy.
Now he looks like a spitting image of his ornery heroes!
Oh, sweet baby.
You’ll never know how hard it is for Mama to let you grow up.
Stay soft and sweet for a little bit longer yet.
Before I know it, you’ll be off with bows and arrows, training wheels,
and jumping through the hayloft.
Give me a few more sweet moments . . .
and then I’ll let you go.

That first haircut is so hard! I remember our son’s first haircut and he is 21yrs old now! And I still have to tell myself to let go at times!:) Enjoy your blog!

I’m sure that’s what I’ll be telling myself for the next 21 years of his life!

You made me smile on a rough day! Thank you. I only have a little girl so that is one milestone we will be skipping. She has a head start on climbing trees and jumping off of things though!
