Our past week has been jammed full of family and fun! Lowell’s folks and three of his siblings were here to visit and all of us thoroughly enjoyed having them here.
The boys were very happy to throw their sleeping bags in the basement with Uncle Randall. I hope he got some sleep with all those Indians.
Here we are at the Idaho Wilderness Boys Camp swing. You must climb a high tower in order to jump off of it and swing out over a cliff. In case you don’t believe this, I have pictures here to prove Dad and Mom went on this swing! We were all impressed. Especially since I cannot see myself doing this.
These pictures don’t do it justice at all. My stomach hurt just watching them.
They also helped us pick blueberries and can 50 pounds of cherries. But it wasn’t all work, we also played!
Lowell, Danae, Krissa, and I went tubing down the Moyie River while Dad, Randall, and the others all went fishing. We had fun, however I personally left a mark on almost every rock in that stretch of the river! At least my body felt like it the next morning.
Here are Mom and Logan drinking pine needle tea!
Mom has more knowledge about plants and herbs than anyone I know! She was tickled to find Logan at her heels everytime she went to the meadow or out in the woods. He absorbed all the knowledge she could give him and I’m positive it’s going to be repeated to me about twenty times in the next two months. He was thrilled to learn all about the “weeds that can make medicine to keep us from getting sick.”
He also said: “Mom! Did you know we can eat your flowers?”
Say what?!! Between the dog digging in my flowerbeds and the kids eating them, we may not have much left.
However, I’m allowing him one petunia a day. We may just skip his multivitamin.
I think he’s going to follow in his Grandma’s healthy footsteps someday! We all know I could use some “healthening-up”.
Here they are making a Tissue Oil Rub from St. John’s Wort. (Hope I got that right, Mom)
I love it that he took to his Grandma and her love of plants, herbs, and healthy stuff! Who knows, she may be training a doctor someday.
Then on the last day, my beautiful sisters-in-law and I went for a photo shoot in the meadow. Two of the sweetest gals and I’m glad to be called their sister!
Now they’re gone and it’s back to real life.
May you all have a blessed week!!

What a wonderful, blessed time with family! Hope Uncle Randall survived those wild indians! LOL! Oh no I do not like heights and that tower would do me in! LOL! Blessings.
