The time has come . . . to put the Shoe into the closet.
When married to a mailman who brings you all your wonderful packages and Christmas cards every year – life around Christmas time spirals out of control. And we are in the midst of that spiral right now.
About 4-5 days every week, I run postal packages up to the Canadian border. These are those wonderful Christmas packages that Lowell can’t fit into his Jeep along with all his route packages. So the two Littles and I make the extra run when we are able. Sometimes we even stop at The Bread Basket to take a doughnut and latte along!
But now the holidays are upon us and with driving to Canada and taking kids to school, a big chunk of my day is used up away from home.
Plus, we have also recently decided to take The Shoe home for Christmas! Home to Indiana where Grandpa and Grandma are waiting with big hugs and loving arms.
And trying to be the levelheaded woman that the rest of you are, I am going to put this little blog away for a while. Although I can’t hardly make myself say it – I truly can’t do everything I’d like to do. There. I said it. I am not superwoman.
Trying to juggle six children and a husband, plus all the housework, cooking, and running errands – something has to give. I’m either going to drop one of those things I’m juggling or do a complete crash-and-burn. I guess the real word for it is “prioritizing”, and I’m learning what that means!
So that is why we are putting The Shoe into the closet for a while – at least until life slows down sometime in 2014. I will miss you all! You’re such an encouragement to me.
Join me as I make it my aim in 2014 to make every day one where I can look back and say “I gave my all for the kingdom of God.”

Your posts will be missed, but I admire your choice. We, as women & mothers, are so reluctant to admit we aren’t supermom! I pray you & your family enjoy your holidays!
