Come to the top of our world out west here in the Rockies!
Where it’s white, sparkling, and oh so beautiful.
Of course, I am saying all this simply from the pictures – like you hopefully will be. I was not up on the top of the mountain taking these pictures, but I sure do enjoy looking at them!
And since I thought you all might enjoy seeing them too . . . I got permission from Charles Schrock, who graciously lent us his pictures from his time spent snowmobiling around here. He is a good friend of our family’s, a brother in the church, and also runs Cabinets Northwest.
Standing right here . . . it must feel like you are the only person in the world!
Some of these pictures I might not get completely right . . . but I’m guessing that is a tree bent over from all the snow weighing it down.
The small, adventurous part of me has to say “that does look like fun!”
I love this picture! God makes His creation beautiful – even from blinding, driving snow.
To be up there must make you feel like nothing worldly can touch you or taint the beauty you behold.
I think this is what sledders term “tailwalking”.
I have just one question — “what happens when the snowmobile comes back down again?!”
Oh. So that’s what happens. 😉
Art of the divine kind!
Do you suppose it’s possible for the angels to escort us slowly past these mountains when we die?
So that we can see all this beauty before saying good-bye to this world?
I hear it’s quiet up there. Something I could use some days . . .
So now everything looks right side up and ready to go again.
I know what it sounds like to walk through the woods with fresh snow on the ground down here in the valleys . . . and it is probably magnified way up high on the mountaintop.
It is simply a hush.
A peaceful, comforting hush.
I know this post was mostly pictures, but if you’re at all like me, you love seeing the beautiful evidence of God’s hand all around us – whether it’s at the top of our world . . . or down in the valleys.

Sure you wouldn’t rather go somewhere warm? 😉

Well, on a sunny day, I’d just love to see all this, and yes, I could use some “blessed hush” these days! 🙂

I am VERY cold blooded, but love the snow. I find myself shivering just looking at the pictures:( I think it is beautiful too and would love to live there…if only my body could take it. I guess I’ll be satisfied with a two hour drive to play in it and then come home to warmth.
Kendra says
That works too!! Two hours isn’t too far to drive to see beautiful snow.

Those pictures are beautiful and I love to look at it, but I don’t like shoveling and we’ve done a lot of that this week. Thank you for sharing some og God’s beautiful creation with us.
Blessings,
Betsy

I’m kind of strange that way – but if the snow is nice and fluffy, I love to shovel it! Once it gets rock hard, I hand the job to Lowell. 😉
