Do you know what this blog is? It is simply a snapshot of our lives. We are living out the whole roll of film, but you only get one snapshot once in a while!
And that snapshot can sometimes give the impression our life is perfect, orderly, and nobody punches anybody else.
So I handed the camera over to the three oldest children and told them to take pictures of the good, the bad, and the ugly. What I hadn’t counted on was some budding photographers who came up with some crazy poses!
But here it is . . . The Uncensored Shoe.
Early morning exercise routine with Dad!
*This is the one picture of the bunch that I took myself.
Hard at work in my Mama’s Brain book. Someday I’ll tell you about it!
Yeah . . . I have lots of somedays.
🙂 The boys were having some photography fun.
And some MORE photography fun!
They’re trying to tell us something in sign language, but I’m not sure what it is.
No, we seriously do not have pumpkin fights in the living room!
Seriously.
Can you say “cheese”?
I think he was tired from the exercise routine with Dad.
Kiddos caught a pic during the baking day before our annual school sale!
If you can figure out what that is . . . we’ll name you the Smartest Person of the Year.
Normal.
Oh. so. normal.
🙂 This is normal for all of us – cookies and milk!
This is normal too! I have too many articles and books I want to read – that I’m finding I only get halfway done.
And that’s all, folks.
Have a great weekend!!

The picture is a dragon with three people in its stomach. If that’s not it I got nothing.
Kendra says
Hmmm. Could be! I’ll have to ask the one who drew it . . . if I can remember who it was. 🙂

Is SO good to see into your lives, especially if I can’t be there. LOVE the pics. Caught a few glimpses of your house, too. Love you all so much., mother

Your children did a very good job with the camera.I enjoyed seeing “the everyday life” very much.
I have a question, I love the dresses you and your daughter were wearing. Did you make them or buy them. They are so pretty and feminine. I would love to get some like them.
I can’t sew, so I hope you didn’t make them. lol!
Linda
Kendra says
Well, I sewed mine, but lots of my daughter’s dresses are given to me by church ladies whose daughters outgrew them! However, I don’t know if you’ve heard of Mennonitemom on Etsy?? She has an Etsy store where she sells dresses like these – already made. 🙂 Here is the link to her store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/mennonitemom
Hope this helps a bit!!
Linda says
Thanks, I will go there.

Love it! You do have some budding photographers in your family :).
I always say I am glad my photos don’t have sound. Lol!!
I know it is not related but could not find a place to comment but I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated Lowell’s question about drinking from the contaminated well when we have the pure water of God’s Word. I know that I didn’t quote that right .
Thank you for your articles and the sweet spirit in which they are written.

Thank you so much for your encouragement! We’ve found that it’s best if we leave comments on for only a limited time on articles like that – and sometimes not at all. If we get too much arguing, we feel it can take away from the Biblical truths we shared.
And I hear you on the “no sound” pictures!! 🙂
