Lake Pend O’Reille in the early morning hours.
Lowell’s folks, and a few siblings, came to visit us last week. And on Saturday we went charter fishing on Lake Pend O’Reille in Sandpoint, Idaho. All of us except three of the younger ones.
There’s a story behind this picture.
Mom and I went mostly because our husbands wanted us to. Minutes after Mom got on the boat, she had earned the nickname “Half-heartedly”. No fault of hers! The captain pinned it on her when he found out she came along mostly to enjoy the ride, not to do serious fishing.
Funny thing is, she caught the first fish! And for a while after that, most of the bites were on her line!
We call him our “fresh air baby”. He loves the outdoors!
Can’t believe our oldest turns 12 today!
Having some fun!
In the early morning fog, the mountains look almost as blue as the water.
So peaceful.
The most good-lookin’ one there!
I’ve got a feeling my newlywed sister-in-law would fight me on that one . . .
I love these mountains! Looks like you could slide down the ridge right into the sea.
I had to find a quiet, shady spot to nurse the baby. And ended up on the floor in the bow of the boat. To keep myself from getting bored, I decided to play with my camera. It worked.
The Littlest Fisherman.
Best buddies.
Where one is, you will find the other ~
We got a pretty good view of these mountain goats near the Green Monarch Mountains!
I love the grandeur of the mountains that plunge down into the blue lake.
Fish must not be biting.

Loved this post Kendra, the pictures of the mountains are so peaceful and beautiful, they gave me an ache for Idaho.

Great pictures of the day-those mountain goats really show up.
It was a wonderfully relaxing time, even if I did have to fish 🙂
