Our first snow of the season has arrived! Just this morning, we woke up to about 3 inches of snow . . . if Logan and his ruler can be trusted with that information.
The first snow is so exciting! Even for Mama.
But she mostly dressed the littlest guy in all his snow gear and sent him outside with the big kids. One full minute later, he was back in. So we did dishes while everyone else had fun!
They’ve already rolled up quite a bit of the snow in the backyard into huge snowballs! Hopefully, we get to school on time today.
Keeping Busy
I had a horrifying fear this fall . . . that I would become really bored this winter. No babies being born or even on the way. No morning sickness to consume my thoughts. The Little Man has moved out of his crib and into the bedroom with his big sister and brother.
I really must stop typing such sappy thoughts or I will be sobbing all over my keyboard.
As for the bored part, you will be happy to know that so far it has not happened! Lowell rolls his eyes whenever I mention getting bored because he claims I’ll always find something to do.
Speaking of stuff to do . . .
You ladies have got to try these couple websites out! I stumbled across a garden design program online when I was searching for Territorial Seeds. This is going to prove my naivete, but I didn’t realize there was such a thing for designing my simple gardens. To actually sit down at a computer and play with my garden in the winter is awesome. No dirt under my fingernails, but I get to plan and re-plan all my gardens without messing anything “real” up.
This picture is of my one garden that is long and narrow, and the entire garden didn’t want to print very well – so I cut it in thirds. You are seeing one-third of that garden. This one is going to be my Baby next summer, Lord willing. It will hold all my fun stuff – like tomatoes, broccoli, herbs, and even flowers! My smaller garden is going to have the corn and potatoes – the “not so exciting” veggies.
For the past couple weeks, I have played around with several different online design programs and found two that are basically the same, but each have a 30-day free trial. If you’re like me, you can have your garden designed, edited and printed out quite a few times in those thirty days!

You can also try Better Homes and Gardens here, but I didn’t care for that one as well.
Good Reads
I have no articles to put here because I honestly have not been reading much at all. I’ve gotten busy with school sale projects and Christmas parcels for the mail route are picking up now – so reading will probably have to wait.
However, this book is one I purchased and hope to read my way through it this winter!

Pictures of Recent Life
One of our Costco runs! Just the two Littles and me . . . and a big cup of coffee.
I might not be needed much longer to change diapers either! Then I really will get bored . . .
Dallas saw some deer out the front window and said he would go shoot them. So he quickly grabbed his gun, ran out to the porch, and aimed.
I asked if he shot the deer. He said confidently, “Yep!”
Right now there are quite a few of us working on projects for our annual school sale. I am currently working on several aprons, but can’t decide which one I want to keep for myself! And the material you see for the apron in the picture had actually been bought before the tragedy in Paris. It has been a sad reminder to me of the lives lost and the need to pray not only for our country, but our entire world governments and the souls in need of salvation.
The sale itself is this coming Saturday, so I most likely will not get another post up this week.
“Come and hear, all ye that fear God,
and I will declare what He hath done for my soul.”
