Snowy January
This has honestly been a very strange winter. We have not had much snow at all. And what we have received has melted within a few days. Our January came in with temps in the 40’s and with lots of muddy slop.
Then we got around 7 inches of glorious snow. At least the children all think it’s glorious! School was delayed a couple hours, so we had to quickly take our chance to play in the snow before it melted. It was a blast!
And now we hear there is more snow headed our way, and much more “January-like” temps with it. So I am guessing winter is finally going to behave itself and act like a winter should in the North!
Have a great winter!!

I so enjoy these pictures! We live in the desert of AZ and never see snow. I never thought I would say it, but I really miss the snow and cold!
Kendra says
I would miss it, too. There is something so peaceful about walking through a woods with the hush of snow falling. I love it!

Naomi, if you aren’t too far away from where it snows, you should come on over and get a snow fixπ
Check traffic conditions first though because depending upon where you are I-17 and I-40 closes if the snow is bad.

Regina, We do want to do that! We are in Phoenix, so driving to snow wouldn’t be too far. Only 2 of my children even remember snow, and that was the tiny bit we got when we lived south of Benson.

I’m near Prescott, AZ and it’s snowing as I type this . I enjoyed your beautiful snow pictures. Our winter has be mostly cold and we haven’t had much snow ourselves so we were surprised to look out this evening and find it actually see it snowing.

I personally like snow if I am going to have cold. Might as well be a pretty cold! π

The pictures are beautiful. I live in north Texas. My husband says it’s snowing now, but it looks like dust. π
Your children are growing way too fast.π
Kendra says
Dusty snow . . . that must be interesting, too! We are actually getting more this weekend – we now have around 8 inches.

All children should have the opportunity to explore the wonders in the snow π I thought the birdhouse’s “hat” was nifty.
Kendra says
π It is pretty, too!

Your pictures are very pretty. Do you live in Bonnerβs Ferry? We only had several days of very light snow in Yakima. I love the snow so I hope there will be more coming our way. Your home looks beautiful.
Kendra says
Yes, we live in Bonners Ferry! Maybe we can try sending some snow out your way. π Wish it worked that way!
