In spite of the way it ended, Christmas holds many precious memories of seeing our family again. We enjoyed good times, love, and laughter! Here are a few pictures to share with you.
When all together, there were around 20 grandchildren plus adults within Dad and Mom’s doublewide. We’ll call it a tight squeeze! In fact, it looks like they had to pile one in the shopping cart. Not sure who stowed him there, or how much they paid for him, but he looks quite happy to have been shoved in the corner they gave him.
Grandpa and Megan reading the Christmas story. I love this picture! Even in the midst of the chaos of so many grandkids, noise, and confusion, Dad’s love still shines for his family.
I’m thinking Joseph is looking altogether too cheerful for such a prospect as is facing him. Mary seems to be at a loss as to where her baby is …… you’d think Joseph would at least help her find him.
Finally, the baby is found and all the angels, shepherds, and wise men gather ’round to worship the King. You will also notice they raided Grandpa and Grandma’s dresser and closet to find suitable costumes.
The Three Muskateers — or rather Wise Men on the move to end Alzheimers. 🙂 We laughed so hard at their outfits that tears were almost rolling down our cheeks! These three were like sticky glue for the few days we were there. When one went missing, they all went missing. Sometimes they were out in the garage on roller skates or had vanished to Marc’s shop in hopes of making axes. Yes, I know that looks like a scary trio to be armed with axes, but they were wooden and no damage was done that we know of. Or at least found out about.
Gotta say…..I love the head gear! Not exactly a middle eastern look though.
We like to take a picture of these three whenever they are together. They are stair-stepped in birth only six weeks apart. First came Kendall (middle), then six weeks later came our Logan (right) and then six weeks following that came Andrew (left).
We moms are having visions of what this picture will look like in 10 years…..and the havoc they could wreak in 10 years leaves us groping for chocolate and coffee.
These two cousins are the only girl cousins on the Graber side. And so they must band together against their nine counterparts. You’d find them off in their own world playing dishes and dressing up as princesses!
Here is the entire Graber family on Sunday afternoon! You will also notice a new face back there behind Krissa. This Christmas weekend was his initiation ceremony into the Graber family and every Graber brother took it upon himself to make sure he was properly initiated. He lived through it for which we are all grateful!
One of my nephews, Ian, and I thought this picture was adorable!
And here is where the nightmare began. But we’ve already told that story, and I have no desire to tell it again!
