We have just a quick post to let you know a couple of things. Our church has recently been discussing social media and all its implications – both in our physical lives and spiritual lives. I haven’t used Facebook very regularly for a while and had kept the account open mostly for the blog pages.
But we have made the decision to delete our Facebook accounts and so the blog FB pages will not be up anymore. If you wish to continue to receive updates/new posts, you are welcome to sign up for the newsletter in the form below.
However, I want to be honest with you before you do even that. There is a very distinct possibility that this blog, Living in the Shoe, will be taken down within the year. If that should happen, it would come as a result of much thought and prayer the last year.
I am finding that between helping Lowell with church and home duties and teaching school for a good chunk of the school year, I don’t have much time to put into this blog. It fulfilled its purpose while it was being used, but sometimes we all must make decisions to lay something aside in order to keep our priorities with God first and family second. I just wanted to be honest with you and let you know – and maybe some of you can be praying that I make the right decision.
May God continue to guide those who seek Him with their whole heart.

That is too bad. But you are right, God first then family. In the meantime I will enjoy whatever you post for now.
Blessings in His name

Will you continue to have this website and the other features that it has?
Kendra says
We will through the end of this year most likely, but will make a final decision then.

I have enjoyed your posts and your way with words but I do understand your position in whether you will continue or not. God bless you in the roles that you have as wife ,mother, teacher, daughter of the KING, etc. Those are important shoes to fill. (:

Thank you, Jaima!! I appreciate the encouragement. I will never forget you or the impact you had in my life at such a tender age. 🙂

I admire the call you all have made on fb, it’s a hard one because it is handy at times. I totally understand if you quit the blog although sad to see it go if you do decide to stop. Will we be able to access the post that have been written in the past, especially the ones in your apologia section? I have found them so helpful for a quick refrence or to share with a friend. I would miss that part if it would be taken down.
Kendra says
Hi Linda! We are definitely thinking through the implications and a decision has not been made yet. However, we most likely would leave truthinwordpublishing site up with all apologia articles on there. So you could reference from there instead of this blog. 🙂

Hello, I am hoping that you will leave the blog up for reference for ladies seeking some kind of guidance in walking with the Lord. There are so few blogs out there that do this. I find in the times I am waxing in my strength I seek out the blogs I know to be uplifting. May God bless you for your words of encouragement.
Kendra says
Thank you for this encouragement! For now, the blog will be up. 🙂
