One Sunday evening, we packed the kids in the Toyota and headed up the mountain. Actually, it was very close to where we used to live. It is a campground along the Moyie River and we have went there many times for suppers and even just to throw rocks in the river.
One monkey managed to come along with us!
Their favorite thing to do is to try and skip rocks.
Or splash Mom with them . . .
Whiplash Moment Here: (meaning I am going to change subjects rather rapidly)
But would somebody please notice the cute little shorts?! We are almost done potty training and this mom wondered if she’d make it through potty training one more little kiddo.
You can all applaud now . . .
Back to the subject at hand . . . if you have a DSLR camera, you will know that moving water is incredibly fun to photograph. Or at least pretend you know what you are doing and try umpteen various settings on your camera!
This is the river that we locals go whitewater rafting down in April and May. Lowell and I went one of our first years out here. It was great! Up until the last few moments . . . when some of us jumped out in a slower part of the river to swim and I ended up getting swept underneath a raft full of people. And stuck there for a bit.
Yeah, that wasn’t very fun anymore. But it all ended up okay!
And He shewed me a pure river of water of life,
clear as crystal, proceeding out of
the throne of God and of the Lamb.

And thank you for the cute shorts picture!! Made my day cause – boy!! Is it ever true!! It literally makes a person want to make a national- potty- training -success day when that gets accomplished! 😄

Haha!! Yes, that is true. It is such a feeling of accomplishment! What is funny is that I had told some friends that he was doing so good potty-training . . . and then he went and pooped in his pull-up. 🙁 Remind me never to boast!

Beautiful place you live in. Potty training success (insert crazy dance/wiggle )! I miss a lot of things about my kiddo not being a baby but changing diapers is not one of them!

I sure won’t miss it either!!

What beautiful country. Reminds me of home here in Maine 🙂 This time of year is so lovely.
Hurrah for potty training!! I’m still trying to train my 3-year-old with no success, she just doesn’t want to bother to take the time to sit on the potty. She’ll literally only go in her pull-ups–I’m like where on earth is this coming from lol! My oldest trained herself at 2-years-old so it’s like night and day. Baby #3 is due in October and I’m reallllllllly hoping we’ve made some progress by then 😉

🙂 Potty training is definitely not for the faint of heart!!
