It is Christmas time!
Seriously, I know it’s only December 2, but do you realize how early I would like to start celebrating Christmas? To not post anything Christmas-related until December 2 is a magnificent display of some serious self-control on my part, folks.
Oh, how I love Christmas. The candles that twinkle in people’s windows, the heavenly scents of oranges, apples, and cinnamon . . . and the children’s Christmas program where I just want to run up the aisle and squish each little child that sings “Away In A Manger”. Don’t worry. I won’t run up the aisle because it would probably send my hubby into a spasm of mortification.
And since it’s December . . . and almost Christmas time . . . it is also time for the “Just For Mommy” Giveaway!
Now in case you are wondering how the Shoe can afford to give away this package, I’ll let you in on my little secret. I’m doing it as a joint giveaway with our home-based business, Kisses from Above. Hence, that is why you will see some products that come directly from there. But you are welcome to enter using only the entries pertaining to Living in the Shoe since I have provided both, or you can enter in all of them. Whatever floats your boat these days, ladies!
And I must also say this: even if you are not a “mommy”, please do not hesitate to enter! We love grandmas around here, and single ladies as well. If there is a part of the package you do not wish to keep, put it in someone else’s Christmas package this year.
Now on to the Christmas box that may soon be heading your way . . .
If you are the special winner of this giveaway, here is what you will receive:
The Piano Guys – A Family Christmas CD (Deluxe Edition)

I love Christmas! Have I said that enough yet? 🙂 We have this album and are enjoying it immensely this holiday season!

The pregnancy tests are our #1 BESTSELLER at Kisses from Above! I can personally vouch for them since I’ve taken hundreds of them myself. I can hear you thinking “How does a woman who has been pregnant only ten times manage to take hundreds of pregnancy tests?” Um, once I figure that out . . . I will be out of business.
Tea Cups and Cowboys
Value = $9.99
I know some of you readers of Living in the Shoe have already read this and put up with it . . . but those at Kisses from Above haven’t. So humor us if you will! And if you win this, pass it on.
$15 Starbucks Gift Card
Value = $15
Carmel Latte headed your way, ladies! Use this one to treat yourself to a special coffee on the day you trip over the tractor lying on the stairs, you find an entire set of Legos stuffed down inside your favorite Lazyboy, and you are two smidgens away from handing in your motherhood resignation papers. A little pampering might help motherhood look appealing again sixty minutes later!
So are you ready to pamper yourselves, ladies?
This giveaway is open to U.S. and Canadian entries. However, Canadians must remember that this package will not reach them in time for Christmas because of the longer shipping times.
Since this is a special Christmas giveaway . . . we will run it for two weeks with enough time to get it shipped to you before Christmas Day gets here (for those in the U.S.). Giveaway will end December 16, 2014. The winner will be notified by email first and given 72 hours to respond. If there is no response, we will choose another winner.
Have fun! And if nobody enters, I will be tempted to enter it myself. 🙂 I could put that coffee to good use . . .
If you are viewing this in our Weekly Newsletter, you might need to click here to enter the giveaway. We use the Rafflecopter system and it doesn’t always show in emails. This should take you to the post so you can enter it. If that doesn’t work, click on the title of the post in your email.

And once Christmas is over, spring can look so far away! Hopefully your winter will be really nice to you Easterners this year. 🙂
Tiffany Holley says
We exchange gifts on St. Nicholas’ feast day (although not Catholic)… then we celebrate Jesus’ Birthday on Christmas, to keep our focus, well, focused! 🙂
Kendra says
That’s interesting! It is true that we can lose sight of what Christmas is really about with all the commercialization of the holidays.

What a wonderful giveaway. I have been a silent follower and don’t remember how I found you. Our family served in Southern IN with your b-in-law Donovan. One Christmas tradition we often do is to all sleep on the living room floor Christmas Eve.
Kendra says
Wow! It’s a small world! I love your tradition. When I was a kid, all of my family, cousins and all, used to sleep the night at Grandpa’s. Wonderful memories!
Crystal says

You’re right! It is SO much fun to give – I’m still trying to teach my children this.

My family never really were the traditional type, but my in-laws have one where all the sisters and children get together sometime before Christmas (@ moms) and make cookies, n goodies for Christmas caroling, family gatherings ect.
Kendra says
Have you ever had a cookie exchange? We’ve done it before and I was thinking of doing one again. Baking cookies with family and friends is so fun!

cookie baking day with my Grandmother! and every year it becomes more fun (and Messier!) with the addition of little ones and new family members 😉

Sounds like several ladies have this “cookie baking” tradition! Enjoy it.
Marissa A says
The best memories I have of Christmas’ of my childhood involve extended family spending all Christmas Day,between chores, together. Laughing and playing games with cousins, guessing candy amount in a jar, eating fabulous food and sometimes exchanging gifts and singing carols. But best of all was the time spent in front of the record player, listening, after the adults got tired of our ruckous play! Nowadays we get together less but still reminisce of those fun fun days
Kendra says
Now that sounds like lots of fun packed into too little time!!
Diane H says
I would like to enter the giveaway, so if commenting here accomplishes that, I guess I am entered.
I enjoy stopping by your blog. We have been on the go so much lately, I can’t beleive it is Dec. I hope we can find some quiet moments along the way. I gave up cookie baking when all the girls decided to go hunting with Dad instead. I have learned that with a growing family some traditions change…. being ok with that is probably the best way to help things be relaxed.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Kendra says
I’ll make sure you get entered for your comment! And I love your attitude about changing traditions – so true. We don’t do things just the way I did growing up, but I love our own traditions!
Tina says
Such a lovely gift box!!!
Kendra says
Thanks! I hope someone enjoys it – might just be you!
Christine says
Was having a tough time getting into the spirit of the holidays, but once we decorate things should seem a little more like December.

Some years are like that!! Hopefully it starts to seem a little more like Christmas soon.
Amanda says

Neat giveaway! I think I know your hubby….I forget his name….if he’s Raymond & Laura’s son! I use to work at Yoders Dutch Kitchen 22 years ago for Laura’s dad, Henry Yoder! My “little” brother Terence would’ve been or maybe still is one of your hubby’s buddies. 🙂
Kendra says
Oh, how we love Dutch Kitchen!! I tasted my first oyster stew there. 🙂 As a newlywed, I was trying to impress them all, but could barely gag down the oysters!!
I love finding folks who know others we know! I will have to tell Lowell about your comment – yes, he is Raymond’s son and Henry was his grandpa. Is Terence the one in Coloroado? Phoebe’s husband?
Teresa says
I don’t remember oyster stew….maybe it was on the menu after I left, but I know what you mean about oysters….I’ve always said that you don’t have to chew them, they just slide down! Lol! 🙂 Yes, Terence’s live in CO and is Pheobes husband. We are looking forward to seeing them around New Years! Our family was in Jamaica for 2 years, just came home this past July, so we are excited to see them…it’s been 1 1/2 years!!! I just seen this morning that you live in Bonners Ferry. A life long friend of mine has lived there a long time…Viola Sommers! It’s a small world!:)
Kendra says
I might be seeing her today! I’ll tell her hello. And the oyster stew was a supper the family made privately and ate it in the restaurant at Christmas!
Kristin says
Sweet giveaway! I love the Piano Guys Christmas album 🙂 I’m excited about Christmas and am having fun decorating our little house 🙂
Kendra says
I’m loving it too!! And I’ll have to check out your blog when I have an extra few minutes. 🙂

The best part of Christmas to me is spending time with those I love! and mail time is lots of fun these days 😉 Christmas caroling is one of my favorite traditions.
thanks for the chance to win this fun giveaway…this java ‘queen’ would love to win the coffee card 😉
Kendra says
We know all about mail time! My husband is a mail man, and we are smack in the middle of Christmas rush in the post office. 🙂 But I can’t complain, because I ordered my allotment of packages to be delivered here too!
Em Mahr says
Every year on the day after Thanksgiving, the family goes to the tree farm to pick out a Christmas tree. It’s always a contest to see who can find the best tree and then tons of laughing while dad struggles to cut it down and load it on top of the car. When we get home, we all watch a movie together and drink hot chocolate.
Kendra says
Sounds like SO much fun!! Families can have such special times over the holidays.
Carolsue says
Our Christmas tradition is to go to Midnight Mass Christmas Eve, then come home and open presents
