Our first Gems of North Idaho Journals are here!
Actually, it has been here for several weeks, but with Dad’s surgery and all the busyness . . . this post has gotten pushed off. On a side note, if any of you are wondering how Dad’s open heart surgery went – it went very well. I was able to be there with Dad and Mom from Tuesday evening to early Sunday morning. I enjoyed being Dad’s nurse for several days! He came home yesterday, so we are praising the Lord for a successful surgery.
Now on to the journal and giveaway . . .
These journals are being produced with the idea of sharing the beautiful West with those who wish to enjoy it with us. We use local professional photographers for our journals. And we are having them printed by Carlisle Printing in Sugarcreek, OH.
The 5.5″ x 8.5″ journals come with:
- 158 lined pages
- Glossy front and back covers
- Spiral bound with wire-o binding so that the journal lays flat for easy writing
Our hope is to produce a new one every year! These are the things, folks, that I play with when the gardens, cooking, and kids are not calling my name. I enjoy it and it is both a challenge and relaxing for me! However, the concept of designing something for print, rather than digital production, is a whole different ballgame. I am learning that there is so much more to learn! 🙂
These journals can be purchased two ways:
The Store at the Shoe
or
Amazon.com
Price for the journal is $8.99 plus S&H at the Shoe . . . or $9.99 on Amazon to account for their fees – but they are eligible for Prime Shipping there.
We offer discounted rates for those who want to purchase some wholesale to give as gifts, or for resale. Please see this link if you are interested: Wholesale Rates.
Today we are giving away 3 journals!
This giveaway is for three different winners who will receive one journal each. As usual, we are using the Rafflecopter form for entries. That is such an easy way to do it! And this will run for only one week because soon after that, our family is heading back to Indiana again for a reunion. I know, somewhere in the summer we need to slow down.
Giveaway is open to both US and Canadian entries and ends June 8 at 12am, PST.

The summer will pass fast enough with all the usual summer things…family gatherings and get togethers; camping with family; going to cottage with friends; plus gardening and canning /preserving!
I love your journal! My first thought was, “with all those lovely west pictures I’ve seen here, how EVER is she going to decide WHICH is the one for the year?!” 😉
Kendra says
Yes, that is a problem!! I am already working on the next journal – but it will probably be a long process. Still, it is fun!

I just found your site ~ I live in Indiana! And we want to move to Idaho!
This summer involves gardening, weeding, drinking iced tea, reading, praying, more praying (for my kids, for our nation, for friends, for God’s grace), sharing books out loud as a family, welcoming a new driver onto the roads, celebrating birthdays, etc.
Kendra says
Oh how fun!! Where are you looking at moving to in Idaho? This state is a beautiful place to live!
Susan says
We live in NE Indiana and (think) we would like northern Idaho.
