The other evening God sent us a wonderful surprise – a real life thunderstorm! You may not know it, but we don’t very often get the thunder-crashing, lightning-flashing, window-rattling thunderstorms that the east does. So when we hear a good rumble in the clouds and see the forked lighting flash, we get pretty excited around here.
We were also in the middle of doing 6 haircuts when the electricity decided to say good-bye for a few minutes. That made it even more exciting! I was having fun imagining Lowell with only half of a hair trim before heading out to the post office the next morning . . .
But once the heads had all been trimmed, washed, and dried . . . the thunder was still rumbling and so we ran outside for some awesome pictures. These were taken as the sun was going down behind the mountain and shining through a sheet of heavy rain. Oh it was gorgeous!
I had fun playing with the manual setting on my camera and then editing these just a bit. I’ve been wanting to conquer that manual setting – and so this was a little bit of a challenge.
Indeed God made His creation breath-taking!
