I really shouldn’t be on here.
Really.
Instead, I should have my head somewhere up in the attic in an old, dusty box. All because of announcement #1:
I am . . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
(tired of the dots yet?)
. . .
. . .
moving!
Gotcha.
Probably over 75% of you thought I was going to say “pregnant”. Right? Keep dreaming – I’m still somewhere in sleep-deprivation land with an ornery, adorable 7 month-old.
No, the big announcement is that the Shoe is moving. Not far away, only somewhere down in the valley hopefully.
I already miss this little house in the big woods, but we are very excited about who is moving into our home and what the Lord has in store for us. We’ve wanted to move a little closer to our school/church for a while, but nothing had worked out until now. We still don’t know where we are moving to, but we have a couple possibilities. More importantly, we know the Lord will continue to guide us.
Life has been spinning since the Shoe got shoved in the closet. I told you all that I would see you sometime in 2014 when life slowed down. Truth is, I was seriously mistaken. It doesn’t look like life is going to slow down at all. So I will post when I have time amidst the boxes.
Oh yeah. That’s where I really should be . . . packing.
But you need announcement #2 yet:
I am in the process of either selling or closing down my little business: Kisses from Above.
This is something I’ve been seriously thinking of and praying about for the last 7 months. Ever since Baby Dallas arrived on the scene. I’m realizing how very stretched to the max I am, and it kind of scares me. I don’t want to neglect the most important people in my life: my husband and children. I’ve felt for a while that it’s time to cut something out.
We reached a crux in the business where I realized that to grow it properly, I’d have to spend hours online with advertising, business blogging, social media, etc. Frankly, this is not something I want to do. I’d have to give up too many other things – namely, the care and training of my children.
God has provided a potential buyer or two for the business. But even if those fall through, we still feel it’s best to close it down.
And now that you all know I’m not pregnant . . . I’ll go to the attic and start packing.
God bless.

Do you know yet how soon you have to move? Makes me kinda sad to think of you leaving your snug little house:)

This is another praise to the Lord for His answer! It is perfectly understandable that you want to be closer to school since that will be going on for a while!

Oooh!!!! The most exciting part is that (hopefully) we will live closer! 🙂 I’m gonna dream up all sorts of excuses to get together for coffee since we won’t have to navigate all 59 curves to get to your house, with kiddos complaining about tummy aches, and threatening to barf by the time we get there!
Kathy Sadlier says
So glad for you!

May God bless your family through these changes!

Rebecca, we have to be out by April 1st. So about 2 months, possibly sooner though. And I’m so looking forward to being closer to town! I’ll take you up on the coffee, Darlene. 😉
