. . . and a lilac bush.
“It’s the PURPLE lilac bush, Mom! Β Not the white one!”
So spare me the dramatics, son. Β God made purple too.
Daddy’s name for these two – The Goobers.
Truth is, he calls them all The Goobers.
And rightly so.
Some days I am simply done with camouflage trousers, grass-stains, and football shirts.
Some days I tell myself that underneath that ornery exterior lies a civilized little gentleman.
Some days I wonder who I’m kidding . . .
