I am not a true foodie.
I do not enjoy thinking about my next meal, what I should make, and all the choices to pick from. I would much rather have it laid out for me, so I can free my mind to focus on other things! Things like . . . why did God make my kids so cute and ornery at the same time . . . whether I’m too mean on my blog sometimes . . . how, when I die, I’d like my spirit to fly away slow enough I can thoroughly enjoy the view as I pass the mountaintops!
If you think I’m fibbing, ask Lowell. It’s a well-known fact that I don’t do too well trying to focus on too many things at once.
Something slips between the cracks. And sometimes that’s supper.
I’ve thought about doing the whole month-at-a-time planning and cooking. But our schedule changes each week, so a weekly schedule suits our lifestyle better.
To help myself out, I put together a Weekly Dinner Menu Planner with both entree and vegetable suggestions at the bottom that I can choose from to fill in the week’s dinners. Because I guarantee you, if I didn’t have suggestions right in front of my nose, my mind would go blank. I even had to sit for a little bit to think “What do I actually cook for this family” just to make this list!
I also made a second planner that has blanks where the suggestions are . . . for anyone who wishes to fill in their own ideas.

If you have trouble viewing or printing these for some reason, you can contact me using our contact page or facebook. I’m also hoping to share some of the recipes on here sometime! Remember, I said “hoping” . . . so don’t hold me to it!
Enjoy!

Thanks!! I’ve already thought of some more I should have put on there . . . but ran out of space.

Great idea, this would help when I get so booted of fixing the same ole thing each week 😉

It’s a comfort to know that I’m not the only mom who sometimes discovers she’s let supper “fall through the cracks”! I also rigged up my own menu plan sheet. All I need to do is fill it out for the week…which can be a chore in itself!!!

Good for you!! But it’s such a good feeling once the week is all filled out and planned.
