I just found out this week that my Aunt Joanne stepped into Heaven very unexpectedly. It’s come as a shock to everyone, but oh, how my heart aches for her family. We love them so much and pray God is near during this time.
It is times like this when Heaven draws ever closer.
As I Cast My Crown
One more goodbye.
One more heartbeat.
One more breath.
One more tear.
And my crown awaits me.
What will it be like when I pick up my golden crown?
As I burst into my glorious sunrise, through galaxies unknown . . .
To meadows heavy with Heaven’s dew.
To a river of crystal waters with the laughter of happy children on its mossy banks.
What will I do as angels usher me down the golden street?
Ever closer to the throne of the Lamb.
And place within my unworthy hands a crown.
All the tears, all the pain, all the heartache – wiped away in an instant.
As I kneel before the Savior of my soul.
I must keep pressing on . . .
One last step.
One last struggle.
One last burden to carry.
Before I cast my crown at His feet.
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
