I am going to try and explain very briefly why we sometimes have days where you can download our kindle books from Amazon for free.
When you publish a kindle book on Amazon, they give you the option to enroll it in their KDP Select program. It allows you certain things, like having your kindle book in their Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Lending Library programs.
However, they also give you the option for promotions – like a kindle countdown or five free days every three months. This is why you will sometimes find our books free for several days! I had been making all five days run together, but I might change that and do a couple days here and there throughout the three months of enrollment.
If you wish to know when these days are, we post it first on Facebook. You can follow by clicking here. I will also try to get it in the weekly newsletter with time enough for email readers to still download theirs for free.
This week’s free book:
Tea Cups and Cowboys
This runs for Thursday and Friday of this week.
Free days also allow us to reach those who may not be able to afford a book. Writing for me is not a big moneymaker, but is a way I can minister to others from my home. It is a fulfillment and a joy!
There were two main reasons why I wrote Silent Grief: 1) I felt the Lord’s direct leading in it, and 2) to help other women heal from the pain of miscarriage. When I read a review on this book the other week, I almost cried. Literally. Because it meant my prayer to help other women had been answered.
The review: Since my miscarriage a week ago I have read many books on healing and grieving. The many books I have read have been a little helpful but a lot of them have been littered with accounts of not just miscarriage but also abortion. I am pro-life, so I found that neither comforting or helpful. This book however is filled with how to grieve and look for God’s everlasting love at the same time. It is filled with scriptures that give you peace and with stories from other women that helps you to know you are not alone. I would highly recommend this book to anyone going through this situation. I also have family from northern Idaho so I feel a certain kinship to the author.
One more sneak peek announcement: our Gems of North Idaho journal files are at the printers and we should be seeing them within a month or so! Yes, I am very excited . . . but I will refrain from posting a dozen smilies here. You’re welcome.
