Over the years, we have received quite a few emails and messages about many issues. One of those that seems to come up frequently is in regards to studying the Bible, where to find good study guides on various topics, etc. We have sensed a desire that is prompting these questions – the desire to know the truth and learn it for themselves!
We live in the age of an overabundance of information, even in regards to spiritual matters. All you have to do is peruse your local Christian bookstore or library on any major doctrine in Christianity to realize how many opinions are out there on these subjects.
It can get confusing. And overwhelming. What is right and what is wrong?
Therefore, it is our burning desire that Christians constantly go back to the infallible Word of God to see if what men say actually measures up to what God says. In fact, we would go a step further and encourage people to get their own ideas of God and His teachings straight from the Bible itself.
Everything you will ever need is in the Bible. Do we really believe this?
We have put together a simple study guide for the book of Jude. We chose this one for our first guide because it is only one chapter!
It is 42 pages long and consists of lessons on 2-4 verses each. In each lesson you will look up definitions, use cross references to compare Scripture, and search commentaries, dictionaries, etc. We would like you to remember that commentaries are still man’s opinions and therefore open to correction. However, they are usually short and concise answers to questions and they get away from the emotion-filled books of today.
This guide is titled “On-your-own” because that’s what it is. You will only get as much out of it as you put into it. Simply let the Spirit of God speak to you through the Word of God and the truths He places on your heart and mind! He has promised that if we seek Him . . . we will indeed find Him.
Below are a few pictures that will help you understand what is included in this study guide:
This can be used as an individual study or as a group study. We will give info below for contacting us about class orders.
Once in a while, we throw in a topical study. This is key to teaching even our children how to find answers on a certain topic they have questions about. It is invaluable for them to reach adulthood already knowing how to search the Bible for any topic they need to know the answer to.

Thank you for hosting this giveaway. What what I ask God? That’s actually a difficult question because I have so many! I will have to ponder that question.
Kendra says
That’s fine! This is actually a question one of our ministers put to us a couple years ago and it was good for me to think on….and pray.
Don & Mabel Chupp says
SO GLAD you have done this. I am one that has always desired a Bible Study guide to help me get started and on tract again. My children will delight in this also. What would I ask God? I would ask Him to make my understanding clearer, comprehension complete, and my ease to flow easier so that I can share confidently.
Kendra says
It was a joy for us to put it together….I hope it blesses you!
Corinne Bowman says
I would ask for a stronger, deeper faith and trust in God’s plan for my life and the lives of our families ♥️ Beautiful question to contemplate on, thank you
Kendra says
You bet! It is a good question for me, too.

I just took a seven week class in this book- https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1433541769/ and I was challenged deeply. I need more time in Gods word just immersing myself in all He has to tell me.
I would ask God for a renewed focus; connecting everyday day life with more of God’s involvement AND just more time in the Word! (I have come through getting my 5 children born, fed & diapered & dismay at the time I’ve given God).
Kendra says
Yep. I get it. I have realized I will never be able to live my life with no regrets at all….but I have more regrets than I wish I did. And giving God only the remainder of me is one of those regrets! But today is a new day….we will praise Him together and live for Him better than yesterday, with His grace!
Kayla says
To never leave Him, but to rather always come nearer His throne. I have watched friends walk away from God and I often wonder, what will keep me from doing the same? I don’t want to, but as I look at my life I see in it a tendency to leave the Good I love.
Kendra says
You have hit so squarely upon my own thoughts. I never want to reject Him! Yet I also know that I am human …. so very human. And it only takes a small step or two away to get me down the wrong path. So I am relying on His truth and His mercy to keep me faithful! Bless you. 🙂

I would ask for Wisdom! God bless your work ! You have encouraged and inspired me many times ! Your family life and pictures are a joy and bring sunshine to our lives! Keep On Keeping On !!
Kendra says
Thank you! It’s a joy to have you here. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5 He has promised to answer….get ready to receive!
Regina S says
After several days of pondering I think I would ask for the ability to stay faithful to my convictions and continue to be obedient to God’s Word. I find myself sometimes stressing out needlessly over whether church leadership will tell/ask me to stop covering. Of course I know there is always that possibilty but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Kendra says
These are things I also wish for myself! I also want to be faithful until I see His face.
Melissa Cummins says
Since I struggle with anxiety, sometimes debilitating in situation and I believe God’s word and promises whole heartedly, I believe I’d ask him how to calm my mind to Be Still in Him. I know He wishes that for us but my mind needs his presence and knowledge for that to happen. I look forward to your emails. Thank you! God bless!
Kendra says
Praying God grants you this request . . . I know He is able!!
Lu says
That He would hold and protect me….
Kendra says
I will pray He does this for you. No one better to go to than Him!
Anita says
I would ask for much wisdom, to raise my children to serve Him! And since a lot more is caught than taught… I would be asking for God to help me be the person He wants me to be! So living the Christian life looks appealing to my children… I want people to be drawn to God because after all, it’s His light shining through me!
Kendra says
Amen! I love this.
Danyel Miller says
What a thought provoking question! I would simply ask Him to take me and mold me into who He needs me to be, along with granting me the strength to do as He asks. The Jude study looks so interesting. May God bless you for the work you do!
Kendra says
“…along with granting me the strength to do as He asks.” You have hit upon something that I am learning more as I get older. That God can work better through me when I am feeling weak and must rely on His strength only. May God bless your request!!
Jolene Friesen says
This is an excellent question! Of the top of my head right now I would say I wish for wisdom for each day as I raise my children. I love the verses in James 1:5,6 about anything we ask, He will gtive us. But, somedays I just wish for practical answers! 🙂
Kendra says
I know those days you speak of! 🙂 Praying God gives you wisdom . . .
Karen Hendrick says
Although I would have many questions I think I would ask a general one pertaining to the overall evil and chaos in the world. I would ask God how I could gain a deeper faith to daily believe that there is a plan, that he is absolutely in control and that he always has our best interest at heart. Although these things I am promised in His word there are times (especially in trials) that my faith waffles. Oh Lord, how can I know without any wavering you are in control? Thank you Kendra for this opportunity and for the work you do for His kingdom.
Kendra says
These are good questions!! And when we ask sincerely and not for our own selfish gain, but to bring Him glory . . . I believe He will answer. May He answer this for you!!
Loretta Stoltzfoos says
I would ask God for wisdom in life’s situations, and that others could feel the care and love of Jesus flow through me.
Kendra says
Thanks for both your email comments and here!
