Spring break has begun.
Those words usually refer to children sleeping in until 9:00 and playing outside in the green grass.
Unfortunately, this household doesn’t follow the trend of sleeping in. I cannot get my children to sleep in! Bright and early this morning at a little after 6am, we heard a whisper, “Can we come downstairs?”
Here is where the mean part comes in. We made them stay in bed until at least 6:30. And I knew they were watching the clock for at 6:32, we heard the pitter-patter of footsteps.
Before and after breakfast, little balloons were being blown up to already prevent boredom from setting in at 7am. Here is my motley crew with bucket helmets, balloon swords, and even one in pj’s!
We also are not following the trend of balmy springtime. In fact, we woke up to 5 more inches of snow!
