I can’t remember the last time I posted pictures from our annual church campout. That must mean it was a long time ago. So let’s remedy that this year!
You see many children doing things like this . . .
and this.
The Candy Drop.
This is the younger set of children’s favorite part of the campout. This year we had two small planes that flew across, dropping candy on the big open field.
Here they are waiting for the roar of the planes.
Still waiting.
Finally, they fly across and the children are let loose to search for the candy in the grass!
Even tiny Littles like to look.
I’m going to just post some random pictures. Some of you probably know these ladies!
And I know some of you in Chile will know this young mama.
Must be a good discussion.
This was during our ladies time on Saturday. We all got together for an hour and split into small groups for discussion. It was enjoyable!
Corn Hole.
This was the game of the year . . . actually, the past two years. Quite a few people really get into it! I’m content to sit and watch. And hold babies. And talk. I threatened to cheer but didn’t want to embarrass any members of my family.
The Baby Corner.
These are some of my squishies that I love to hold. We have really cute babies here at our church! I can say that honestly because they aren’t even mine. 😉
The children also love this activity – the train. Believe me, it goes slow to take care of the precious cargo. This is not a speedy train!
The youth like this activity. And because I’m his mom and the one behind the camera, that’s why you got this picture!
Even the toddlers are cute.
I’m not sure what they were playing, but it was something that used quite a bit of action . . . hence the blur in the photo.
This is where the grilling gets done. At least that’s what they want us to think!
And this is where the yummy food gets cooked, dished up, and served to about 300 people.
I don’t know how they could play soccer (or was that frisbee) after eating such a yummy supper of grilled chicken.
I suppose I was that age once, too. Just don’t remind me how long ago it was . . .
The youth had a slave auction in the evening to raise money for a couple of youth who are going on mission trips this fall.
They even brought in a couple llamas!
And that’s the end of this year’s campout. It always goes so fast, especially for the children. We all enjoy it so much and relish the fellowship with our fellow believers in Christ!

Oh, I so enjoyed reading this! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I was so impressed to hear that your church (or group of churches??) has 300 people. That is awesome!! Out here in Arizona, there are only two conservative Mennonite churches (that I know of), both very tiny. I guess that conservative Anabaptist groups do tend to be mostly east of the Mississippi!! That’s just lovely that you have such a healthy congregation.
Thanks again for sharing!

Yes, it is definitely large and we are even thinking of beginning another church somewhere! Only God knows what the future holds . . . Blessings to you in Arizona! 😉

Dear Kendra, thanks again for a new post. It is so good to see pictures of your church! Consider yourself very blessed!
Not all of us have that kind of experience, but we are content in the place that God has planted us!
Many blessings to you and your family!
