And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11
It doesn’t matter how upside down and topsy turvy our world becomes. It will never change the fact that God became man over 2,000 years ago. And the Gospel message still holds as much power to change lives as it did when it began in the stable.
We have many blessings. That sentence doesn’t even begin to do justice to how our attitudes and mindsets have changed. What seemed like little things or even an inconvenience at times only a year ago . . . now is a huge blessing. God is good.
Sometimes I am still amazed at how God is answering prayers. Prayers that His kingdom would advance throughout all this upheaval. Prayers that men’s eyes would be opened to truth. And that the Gospel would go forth! And it HAS gone forth. Sometimes it’s in a nugget even on secular media – yet the Gospel message can stand on its own. What a God we serve – that He can orchestrate the glorifying of His name and saving of men’s souls in times like these!
The pictures above are of our school Christmas program. It was so very special. Another understatement. But I think you know what I mean. Incredibly special to be together to remember our Savior.
We’ve enjoyed a sweet family Christmas. Lots of food. Lots of laughter. Lots of games and noisy people in my kitchen.
I love it.
And we went for a drive up the mountain before several inches of snow begin falling in a few hours. It’s a beautiful world. Sometimes we need to get out of our homes to remember that.
Whatever your state in life, whatever the state of your heart . . . may the God of Heaven make Himself known to those who truly wish to know. He is able. I believe Him.
Merry Christmas from the Grabers!
