We had almost 6 inches of snow between yesterday afternoon and last night. No kidding. And it’s still here.
The electricity was out for almost six hours in the night also, and I lay in bed listening to the snow sliding off of the roof. Slide. Groan. Hadn’t we just raked the gravel off of our green grass only Saturday?
Just yesterday, I woke up to Easter morning, stepped outside and heard the delicate beauty of birds chirping. Easter always takes me way, way back to my California days with sunrise services and spring abounding. So it was a little damaging to this “Easter-perfect-picture” I have in my head when it began to snow yesterday afternoon.
I had even wanted to take pictures of the family. But pictures of cute little boys in vests . . . while standing in the snow didn’t appeal to my spring mentality. We will have to wait until we see green grass and sunshine again. Who knows? Might be tomorrow.
Yet in all this . . . it is still beautiful. And I am reminded of the power of the resurrection to cast out the sin in our lives and turn our souls white as snow! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.
We are thankful that the power that showed itself at the tomb that morning long ago . . . is still here for us today! In our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Now for Picture Monday
Somebody’s aging fast.
The children did some deep cleaning in their bedrooms over spring break. They were amazed at how much stuff they forgot they had!
Why are there socks on my kitchen counter?
Yes, it is spring in my greenhouse.
Derek took this picture. But a day or so later, this bird feeder had much snow on it!
He beat me at battleship.
Happy spring, everyone!

We had just a few flurries but that was enough. I’m so ready for spring this year. It seems winter doesn’t want to leave it’s grip on us yet.
Blessings,
Betsy

Yes, I hear you! But my head also logically knows it won’t stay long . . . so that helps. 😉
