You’re invited to the Shoe
for tea in June!
Every November, our church school has a sale to help raise money for school expenses. At the end of the day, all the church members get together to auction off the remaining items.
Part of the auction includes a slave auction. If you’re not familiar with a slave auction, it is where people can offer to come clean your home for a day, cut your firewood, make you supper, etc. The ideas are endless and it is so much fun! Folks then bid on the particular slave auction they want.
This past fall, we offered a tea party for some mothers and daughters. I figured I could handle a tea party much better than cutting someone’s wood!
Our party is scheduled for the end of this month and we have been slowly gathering ideas, sending invitations, making aprons, and planning the menu. Slow is what you do when you’re seven months pregnant!
In June, we will show you what all we did with invitations, recipes, decor, and of course – dressing up. No tea party is complete without a hat!
If you have ideas for tea party recipes, etc., we’d love to hear them. Otherwise, come back in June to see what we came up with!

Now I’m just hoping and praying that Allison won’t get the chicken pox right over that time. She would just be Devastated!!
